Vision Trip to Eswatini

Love, blessing and kindness to all!

Yep 2nd Blog ever!!

I have been called to Eswatini! I believe that the beauty in walking with Christ is all the amazing desires that is placed in us. “Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” NIV

I dare not start this post without a bit of the back story, how else will you see God’s hand on this?…

In part…  15 years ago, I was standing in the kitchen of the 1st home God directed me to purchase, when I heard the voice of the Lord say, “Seven Pillars”, I said Lord what is Seven Pillars.  Eventually it was revealed that it will be a one stop shop for families. 23 programs within the Seven Pillars. Fast forward 2 years later the Lord moved my family and I to Texas. (I know it was the Lord because it was not where I wanted to live). The same God that got us to Texas using an excellent monetary increase, allowed our home to sale as we were building our new (double the square feet, same price) is the same God that closed that door 2 years later. (That testimony to come in a late post).

Fast forward… My Bishop was traveling to South Africa, and I asked the Lord if I could go (remember I was unemployed, not without income though).  I prayed and fasted, and God said “Yes”. I believed it immediately. I put down my deposit in faith. $500.00. The time was coming for the next payment, I did not have it, so I went back into my prayer closet and inquired of the Lord and all I heard was silence. I was crushed when I did not have the funds to pay the next installment.  Have you ever heard from the Lord without a doubt, then it didn’t happen? Crushed I say crushed! I seeded the deposit to a sister in Christ, I was heartbroken, but mindful that I could plant that seed.

Fast forward… 13 years later (apparently, I had a lot, whole lot to learn) Short version: I returned from a mission’s trip to Guatemala and upon debriefing with an AIM employee, I was given the opportunity go to South Africa for a visit. There is a program that I will be a part of starting called Family Strengthening, and a few other areas that I will be serving in.  What I did not expect was to lose my heart to every Swazi I met. To date I am still communicating daily with some of the wonderful men and women there.

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
